Democratic Sen. Claire McCaskill criticized the Senate in a grim farewell speech Thursday, calling it “dysfunctional” and stuffed with “too many embarrassing uncles.”
The 2-term senator from Missouri delivered a farewell speech after she misplaced her re-election bid in November to the state’s Republican Lawyer Basic Josh Hawley. She questioned the skills of the Senate, including she feared for its future: “It simply doesn’t work in addition to it used to.”
