Supremo says he leaked footage of session because the retired American boxer was telling lies after storming out of camp
DANA WHITE insists Conor McGregor handed Paulie Malignaggi a “one-way beating”.
The retired boxer stormed out of the Irishman’s camp for his bout with Floyd Mayweather after a picture showed him on the floor.
Malingnaggi claimed he had been pushed and later video footage that appeared was inconclusive as boxing and MMA fans took opposing views.
And amid allegations of tampering with the footage, UFC chief White said: “What am I, Steven Spielberg?
“Come on. It’s footage of the actual sparring.
“I was there for all 12 rounds and Paulie has said some crazy things, some bad things about me.
“I felt sorry for the guy, it was a one-way beating and a lot of people were saying Conor couldn’t box.
“Paulie was obviously lying about everything that he said about the sparring match so I released it.”
Fans have called for a video the full 12-round session to put the dispute to bed.
And UFC president White admitted he was considering another ‘leak’ but did not want Mayweather to gain an advantage.
He added: “I have no problem releasing the full tape, the problem is that Conor doesn’t want Mayweather to see everything that he is doing and everything that he is working on.
“It was very one-sided, it was an absolute beating. And guess what? I think it was the right thing for Paulie Malignaggi to definitely leave for his health’s sake!”

UFC superstar Conor McGregor vows to continue boxing after mega fight against Floyd Mayweather
As the August 26 fight draws closer, McGregor has continued the war of words by vowing to send Mayweather into obscurity.
The Dublin fighter believes he ended the career of Jose Aldo after knocking out the UFC legend in only 13 seconds.
He said: “Wait until you see when Mayweather falls – how you all write him off after this and he becomes like Aldo
“Aldo was him at one stage and he just becomes nothing.
“I don’t know how many times they’ve labelled me a joke. ‘He’s a joker. What weight is he moving, what weight is he hitting, what weight is this, He doesn’t stand a chance.’
“And then the poor guy that’s in there with me has to deal with it, and then he’s unconscious and it’s on to the next one. And then there’s more questions and more doubts.
“This will just continue until I call it a day. I’m going to spark Mayweather. I’m going to come forward and go at him. He’s saying he’s going to come at me. Let’s see who takes the first back step.
“That will be the first win or loss in the fight: Who takes a back step first? I don’t know how many times I’ve shocked the world right now but I’m going to shock it once again.”
