Simply yesterday (17 April), a younger man’s leg was shockingly severed after he bought right into a horrible motorbike accident. This incident occurred in Jalan Jelutong, Georgetown in Penang.
In keeping with Harian Metro, the 19-year-old victim named Muhammad Kamil Raja Mydin was riding his Yamaha Y15 ZR with another teen and the duo was heading from the direction of Jalan C Y Choy to Jalan Sungai Pinang. Unfortunately, as they were approaching the bridge on Jalan Jelutong, the victim’s motorcycle suddenly skidded and hit the metal guard rail of the structure.
Northeast District police chief Assistant Commissioner Che Zaimani confirmed the incident and said,
“Due to the impact, the victim’s right leg was severed from the knee down while the pillion rider suffered injuries on her right leg. Members of the public who were at the scene helped the victim by putting ice on his wound and his thigh.”
Guang Ming reported that some bystanders kept the detached part of the leg in a cooler box with ice so that it could be reattached later on. The victims were then rushed to Penang Hospital for treatment and it was understood that they are currently in stable condition now.
Hopefully, the teen’s leg can be successfully reattached and we pray for his speedy recovery. Stay safe on the road guys!
