Ahh, Recreation of Thrones. The way you’ve managed to seize the eye of a technology and create such a powerful fan base is insane, irrespective of the way you ended the journey. However does it actually have to finish?
Many elements of the present will reside on, contemplating the ebook collection isn’t even accomplished but and a prequel present is already within the making. There are numerous methods the present’s legacy lingers with us, and one of many methods we are able to count on GoT to stay in our cultural consciousness is the present’s goosebump-inducing music.
One way die-hard fans can commemorate the show’s phenomenal soundtrack is to cover its music, and this Malaysian production agency did just that, but with a twist!
Mahakarya Studios Malaysia, a local theatrical production house, brought together traditional Malaysian instrumentalists to perform a mash-up cover of Ramin Djawadi’s original compositions for the show in a 4 minutes 52 seconds video.
Starting off with the House Greyjoy and House Stark theme songs, they then transition into the Game of Thrones’ opening credits theme song.
The distinctive traditional Malay instruments take the song’s medieval vibes to an elevated level, giving it a Malaysian twist that stands out from other covers we’ve heard.
The group has since received fan requests to cover other infamous theme songs including the Avengers theme and the Skyrim theme.
Kudos for putting a well-deserved spotlight on Malaysian traditional instruments and for your creativity!
