Eight uncapped players help Eddie Jones’ Red Rose side to topple the Baa-Baas ahead of two-match tour to Argentina
ENGLAND won the Old Mutual Wealth Cup by defeating Barbarians 28-14 at Twickenham Stadium on Sunday.
Eddie Jones’ men led 13-0 at the break thanks to Nathan Earle’s first try for his country and George Ford striking over a conversion and two penalties.
Barbarians fired back after the break with Adam Ashley-Cooper crossing and Ian Madigan converting for the visitors.

But another penalty from Ford as well as Nick Isiekwe’s converted try stretched the hosts’ advantage.

However, Danny Care’s last-minute try secured the victory.

England started with eight uncapped men in their line-up and it was Saracens new-boy Earle who grabbed the opening try.
Perhaps due to the lack of experience, Jones’ side had started shakily in the opening 15 minutes but kept their nerve to earn the win.
England will now travel to Argentina for a two-match Tour.
That travelling party includes several uncapped players as Jones continues to take a further looking at how he can strengthen his wider squad.
