NASCAR fans are grieving the loss of a Hendrick Motorsports pit team member.
According to the sports group, William “Rowdy” Harrell, 30, and his better half, Blakley Harrell, 23, unfortunately died after being eliminated in an auto accident mishap in Florida on Tuesday, Nov. 24.
The couple was apparently in the Florida Keys location commemorating their honeymoon, which came simply 3 days after they got married.
Per NBC Sports, who acquired an initial report from the Florida Highway Patrol, William was driving a Toyota Corolla that was headed north on U.S. 1 (a highway with just 2 lanes). The report suggested that William drove throughout the center line and into the southbound lane at about 9: 40 p.m. ET. A pickup attempted to prevent William’s automobile by drifting onto the shoulder. However, the automobiles clashed, per the report.
