NIGEL TWISTON-DAVIES is wanting ahead to a giant run run from Ballyoptic within the Kauto Star Novices’ Chase at Kempton on Boxing Day.
He was surprisingly overwhelmed at Cheltenham by Black Corton, however he made a foul mistake on the final when he was starting to remain on up the hill.
“I am actually wanting ahead to seeing him run once more, he is acquired every thing you need to see in a novice and we’re more than happy with him,” stated Twiston-Davies. “Hopefully he’ll run very well.
“I feel the error simply stopped him in his tracks final time and it was very smooth floor, this higher floor will certainly go well with him.”
Alan King’s Mia’s Storm heads the betting and as a mare will get a 7lb allowance type all her rivals.
She beat the boys at Chepstow on her reappearance, together with the reopposing Elegant Escape, earlier than successful a Listed mares’ occasion at Market Rasen in high-quality type.

King said: “It has been the plan since Market Rasen, obviously it is a big step up but I think she deserves to take her chance to see where we are.
“I was very taken by her at Market Rasen, she is taking on the boys again this time and it is a Grade 1 but we are happy with her.”
Colin Tizzard runs both Elegant Escape and Thistlecrack’s half-brother, West Approach, while Paul Nicholls saddles Black Corton.
“He’s had an amazing season already this year. He ran very well the last day at Newbury he wasn’t beat very far, giving 3lb away,” Nicholls told Betfair.
Templegate’s TV tips

1.55 Kempton – ELEGANT ESCAPE: ‘I’ve a feeling he’s progressing faster than his rivals and he put in a fine round of jumping last time’ (add to your betslip)
2.10 Wetherby – BAYWING: ‘Loves testing ground and his chase win last February over today’s course and distance is good form’ (add to your betslip)
2.30 Kempton – BUVEUR D’AIR: ‘Should have little trouble rattling off his eighth straight win’ (add to your betslip)
3.05 Kempton – THISTLECRACK: ‘If he’s back to the form of 12 months ago he will be the one to beat’ (add to your betslip)
“He should give a good account of himself but my slight worry is that’s he’s had a lot of runs since his first run in the summer. Saying that, he deserves to run in a Grade 1.”
