Tonight’s brand new Total Bellas started what’s ensured to be an eventful season, and while fans were definitely grateful to have the (really pregnant!) Bella Twins back on their screens, much of the episode was hard to view, as Nikki Bella and her fiancé Artem Chigvintsev got frightening news about their kid’s heart.
Even even worse, the couple could not get the responses they required right now, and in the meantime, Nikki was preparing to inform the world—including her mom, Kathy Colace—something incredibly disturbing from her past.
The previous WWE star made the agonizing discovery in Incomparable, her joint narrative with Brie Bella, that was preparing to strike racks at the time.
“I was raped twice in high school,” Nikki stated in a confessional. “This happened to me when I was 16 and 17. For over 20 years, I have held so much guilt and shame and blamed myself. It’s, like, even hard to say the word ‘rape.’ It’s just still really hard for me to say that or talk about it.”
“I have not told my mom,” Nikki included, keeping in mind that when the rapes happened, her moms and dads were getting a divorce. “And now the whole world’s gonna know.”
