Serbian parted ways with entire coaching team earlier this month but is back on track despite losing to 20-year-old
NOVAK DJOKOVIC has confirmed tennis legend Andre Agassi as his new coach after losing the Italian Open final.
The Serb fell to a shock 6-4, 6-3 defeat against 20-year-old Alexander Zverev in Rome on Sunday.
And after getting rid of every single member of his coaching team earlier this month, Djokovic confirmed Agassi will be his new sensei.
He said: “I spoke to Andrew the last couple weeks on the phone, and we decided to get together in Paris. So he’s going to be there.
“We’ll see what the future brings. We are both excited to work together and see where it takes us.
“We don’t have any long-term commitment. It’s just us trying to get to know each other in Paris a little bit.”
Speaking to winner Zverez, Djokovic added: “You are definitely on a great path. You played fantastic and deserve it.”
