Nvidia, that makes graphics processors, is close to purchasing chipmaker Arm from Japanese corporation SoftBank, with a deal set to be revealed as quickly as next week, Bloomberg reported Saturday, pointing out confidential sources. The offer might worth Arm at around $40 billion in money and stock, Bloomberg stated, keeping in mind that it might be the largest-ever handle the chip market.

Nvidia decreased to talk about the report. SoftBank had no remark, and Arm didn’t instantly react to an ask for remark.
