Food and drink giant Pepsi Co will purchase SodaStream for $3.2 billion, the business revealed Monday.

The purchase of the business understood for its do it yourself seltzer makers like the SodaStream Mix might assist press Pepsi Co’s image in a more health-focused instructions, according to CNN.

The business are an “inspired match,” Pepsi Co CEO Indra Nooyi stated in a declaration, keeping in mind that Israel- based SodaStream’s items fit with Pepsi Co’s objective of “making more nutritious products while limiting our environmental footprint.”

The offer is anticipated to close in January.

“This acquisition creates an opportunity for Pepsi to go beyond recycling and commit to a significant reduction in the amount of plastic bottles it’s putting on the shelves,” stated Jacqueline Savitz, North America primary policy officer for Oceana, an ocean preservation and advocacy group.
