Man Fieri’s often-mocked Instances Sq. restaurant, Man’s American Kitchen & Bar, is closing on Dec. 31, in line with Eater. The reason being unclear, because the restaurant reportedly raked up $17 million in gross sales final 12 months.
“I’m proud that for over 5 and a half years, Man’s American in New York Metropolis served tens of millions of completely satisfied friends from all around the world,” a spokesperson for Fieri, host of Meals Community’s “Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives” sequence, informed HuffPost in a press release. “And upon the restaurant’s closing, I’d prefer to say thanks to the entire staff members and friends who helped make all of it occur.”
New York Instances restaurant critic Pete Wells’s famously served Man’s American Kitchen one of many harshest restaurant evaluations recognized to man in 2012 ― a blistering, zero-star writeup.
Wells questioned nearly every little thing, from meals decisions to seating preparations, ripping the eatery’s “nuclear waste” servings, like watermelon margaritas, “deeply unlovable” nachos, “deadened, overcooked style of college cafeteria greens” and “toasted marshmallow [that] style like fish.”
Wells was one of many many who commented on the restaurant’s closing on Twitter.
Chrissy Teigen was a bit extra variety when she heard the information:
