Driver was launched from his 1937 Talbot T26 after spinning out of control at the famous British circuit this weekend
RACING star Richard Pilkington has cheated death after being thrown from classic car at Silverstone event in dramatic fashion.
The driver was launched from his 1937 Talbot T26 after spinning out of control at the famous British circuit this weekend.
After racing around the track in the sky blue vehicle, Pilkington appeared to lose control, spin 180 degrees and end up smashing into the barriers.
Two other vehicles suffered near misses as they approached the Talbot of Pilkington but seemed to avoid any major drama.
The dramatic incident happened at the Silverstone Classic this weekend, as a record-breaking 100,000 spectators took in the sights.
22 races took place on the day, with iconic vehicles spanning eight decades of automotive history on display.
From Aston Martins and McLarens to Ferraris and Maseratis, there was plenty for spectators to cheer for.
However, it was the awful-looking smash of Pilkington’s Talbot that stole the show.
