ROLY POLY is the cream of the crop in the Tattersalls Falmouth Stakes (3.35).

She was runner-up behind super stablemate Winter in both the Irish 1,000 Guineas and Royal Ascot’s Coronation Stakes.

The cheekpieces she’s been wearing this season have clearly made a difference.

1.50 NEWMARKET: FAWAAREQ should claim gold in the Silver Bunbury Cup.

He rattled off a hat-trick last season and he made a promising return from nine months off the track when third in a hot Haydock contest in April.

He clearly goes well when fresh so it’s not a bother he hasn’t been seen since.

Makzeem heads the dangers. He hit the target when dropped to seven furlongs over track and trip two weeks ago. There’s plenty more to come from this half-brother to top-class Al Kazeem.

War Glory and Fox Trotter are others to keep an eye on.

Clemmie steps up to Group 2 level after her Curragh win

2.25 NEWMARKET: CLEMMIE should win this battle.

A sister of this year’s dual Classic hero Churchill, she made a promising debut before running a fair race in the Albany at Royal Ascot.

She stormed clear to land a Curragh Group 3 last time and today’s stiff finish will help. Aidan O’Brien’s filly looks typically progressive.

Nyaleti chased home O’Brien’s September in the Chesham at the Royal meeting. She went off fast and saw the seven furlongs out well so I’m not sure she wants today’s drop in trip.

Out Of The Flames was third in the Queen Mary but I’m not sure that was the strongest race this year.

2.40 YORK: AZARI should make it third time lucky.

He’s been placed over today’s course and distance in both his starts since joining Tom Dascombe.

The way he moved through the race last time before going down by a neck suggests he’s up to winning a race like this.

Oasis Fantasy continues to frustrate, while Beardwood needs to prove his stamina.

3.00 NEWMARKET: DAAWY is the way to go.

He bolted up by five lengths when landing a Ripon maiden in April. His subsequent odds-on defeat came on soft ground. I’m expecting him to show his true colours today.

Mark Johnston’s Titi Makfi chases a spectacular five-timer and she must have a decent chance.

She seemed to improve for the step up to 1m2f at Chester last time and there looks to be plenty more to come.

Stablemate Monticello should also run well. He ran useful Weekender close in June and pulled too hard for his own good last time.

Leshlaa was second home of the stands’ side group when fifth in the Britannia. She could easily be better than a handicapper.

X Factor’s Reggie ‘N’ Bollie turned their lyrical skills to racing!

3.15 YORK: Watch Ghee whizz.

Speedy GHEEDAA flew home when fourth behind top sprint prospect Battaash in a Sandown Listed contest last month. She looked sure to improve for that run and the extra furlong.

German raider Artistica sprung a shock in a Listed race at Nottingham in May. She’s an interesting runner.

Eartha Kitt won a course-and-distance handicap last month. She’s worth a try at this level but Queen Kindly just doesn’t looked to have improved from last season.

3.35 NEWMARKET: Tuck into ROLY POLY.

Aidan O’Brien’s hope chased home superstar filly Winter on her last two starts – once in the Irish 1,000 Guineas and again in Royal Ascot’s Coronation Stakes.

That’s top form and she faces nothing of the class of her classy stablemate today.

Sea Of Grace finished a couple of places in front of my fancy when they were both unplaced in the Nell Gwyn.

There’s no doubt Roly Poly has improved since then and Sea Of Grace might not want the ground to dry out.

Arabian Hope did well to win a York Listed contest and this is a big leap in grade.
