Razer’s leakage exposed countless players’ information.

An unexpected information leakage by Razer, an international video gaming hardware producing business, left over 100,000 players’ information exposed for over a month. The leakage exposed info like the user’s complete name, e-mail, contact number, billing and shipping address, along with order information and internal client info, according to a report from security scientist Volodymyr Diachenko on Sept. 10. 

Razer wasn’t instantly offered for remark, however supplied an upgrade in Diachenko’s report. Razer informed Diachenko that charge card info and passwords weren’t exposed. The leakage was plugged on Sept. 9. 

“We would like to thank you, sincerely apologize for the lapse and have taken all necessary steps to fix the issue as well as conduct a thorough review of our IT security and systems,” Razer stated in the declaration to Diachenko. “We remain committed to ensure the digital safety and security of all our customers.”
