The world is grieving the loss of Rolling Stones drummer and rock ‘n’ roll artist Charlie Watts
A representative for the famous artist verified the disastrous news in a declaration launched onAug 24. “It is with immense sadness that we announce the death of our beloved Charlie Watts,” the declaration checked out. “He passed away peacefully in a London hospital earlier today surrounded by his family.”
“Charlie was a cherished husband, father and grandfather,” the declaration continued, “and likewise as a member of The Rolling Stones, [was] among the best drummers of his generation.”
Notable artists consisting of the Beatles‘ Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr, and English vocalist Elton John commemorated Watts following the news on social networks. “Condolences to the Stones,” McCartney stated in a video shared to Twitter onAug 24.
