Gosden’s filly was well fancied for her trip to France after winning the Fred Darling impressively on her seasonal reappearance, but after a setback she is set to head to the Coronation Stakes

JOHN GOSDEN’S Dabyah is set to return at Royal Ascot in the Coronation Stakes. 


Gosden’s filly won on her seasonal reappearance in the Fred Darling Stakes and was well fancied for the French Guineas.

Dabyah was impressive at Newbury before missing her trip to France

However, she suffered a slight setback and was forced to miss the race meaning Ascot is next on the agenda.

“They scoped her, weren’t happy and then found out she had spiked a temperature,” said Bruce Raymond, racing manager to Abdullah Saeed Al Naboodah.

“It was nothing serious but she couldn’t run her in a Guineas.

“She’s not in the Irish Guineas and the last time I spoke to John he just said he’d get her ready for Ascot (Coronation Stakes).”
