RUBEN LOFTUS-CHEEK and Harry Winks are back in the England Under-21s squad for the European Championship qualifiers against Scotland and Andorra.
The Young Lions face the Auld Enemy at Middlesbrough next Friday before travelling to Andorra the following Tuesday.
And Loftus-Cheek, currently on loan at Crystal Palace from Chelsea, and Tottenham’s Winks are included after missing out last time through injury.
There will also be an international homecoming for defender Dael Fry when the Boro star returns to the Riverside for action next week.
Meanwhile, despite speculation that he was due to be called up for the Nigerian national team, Tammy Abraham will also be involved for the U21s.
England boss Aidy Boothroyd has called upon the majority of the group who began the Euro qualification campaign with a draw against Holland and a 3-0 win over Lithuania earlier this month.
However, he does have one absentee in Kasey Palmer after the Chelsea youngster picked up an injury while on loan at Huddersfield.
Boothroyd is now hoping to build on his side’s return of four points from their opening two matches by collecting a maximum return over the next fortnight.
The ex-Watford manager said: “I was really pleased with the way it went, we got four points on the board in our games which was what we’d targeted and the way the group came together for the start of our campaign was pleasing.
“We had some really good moments in both games, but there are still plenty of things on which we need to work on.
“Overall though, I was really pleased with how it went and now we need to move forward and build on our points tally in the next two games against Scotland and Andorra.
“The game with Scotland is an intriguing fixture and it’s a really good game for us.
“The fact that the Scots beat the Dutch is good for the group I think, because it now sets it up nicely for our game with them.
“They’re a team that will naturally want to beat us and they’ll be working very hard to do that.
“Personally, as a passionate Englishman, I’m really looking forward to it.”
