The Walt Disney Company desires Scarlett Johansson‘s Black Widow settlement claim to be dealt with independently. But according to the starlet’ attorney, she’s not having it.
In July, the 36- year-old star took legal action against the corporation for supposed breach of agreement over her spend for the Marvel film, which was launched in theaters and provided as a premier purchase on its streaming service Disney+ at the exact same time. She argued that her agreement ensured unique theatrical release which the hybrid release resulted in a decrease in her settlement. Disney, who has stated her claim has “no merit whatsoever,” submitted a movement on Friday,Aug 20, to oblige Johansson into a personal arbitration over the matter.
“After initially responding to this litigation with a misogynistic attack against Scarlett Johansson, Disney is now, predictably, trying to hide its misconduct in a confidential arbitration,” the starlet’ lawyer, John Berlinski, informed E! News in a declaration on Saturday,Aug 21.
