It’s that time of the year once again: The competitors is warming up…and no, we’re not speaking about the Super Bowl.
Animal Planet’s Puppy Bowl XVII returns this Sunday, Feb. 7 and the prettiest young puppies will go paw to paw to contend for the unique three-hour occasion.
Joining this year as Puppy Bowl XVII commentators are ESPN’s Monday Night Football play-by-play commentator Steve Levy and SportsCenter host Sage Steele, who will be supplying young puppy analysis throughout the video game!
The pre-game program starts at 1 p.m. ET/10 a.m. PT when longtime Puppy Bowl sports reporters Rodt Weiler, James Hound, Sheena Inu, Brittany Spaniel and Herman Shepard will pump up the crowd with insights on the furry matches prior to the huge video game.
This year, 22 shelters and saves from 9 Northeastern states are set to bring 70 amazing adoptable young puppy gamers out for the occasion to sport their opposing bandanna colors. The puppies will be divided in between #TeamRuff in “Tail Mary Tangerine” and #TeamFluff sporting “Bark Blue.” The 2 groups will be betting each other in the new GEICO Stadium to win the CHEWY “Lombarky” prize.
