Prince William and Kate Middleton‘s very first journey to the U.S. considering that 2014 comes amidst debate at Buckingham Palace
As the royal household handle the fallout coming from an event at a current royal function, the Prince and Princess of Wales touched down in Boston for an 2022 Earthshot Prize event onNov 30.
The couple was photographed with Boston Mayor Michelle Wu to start the events near CityHall The royals kept wrapped, with Kate using a dark green coat cinched at the waist over an emerald plaid gown. William used a long black coat and match with a tie matching his partner’s green scheme.
Upon landing, William shared a declaration reviewing his late granny Queen Elizabeth II’s love of the city.
“Catherine and I are thrilled to be back in the United States and are exceptionally grateful to Governor Baker and The First Lady of Massachusetts for their warm welcome into Boston,” he stated. “On this, our first overseas visit since the death of my grandmother, I would like to thank the people of Massachusetts and particularly of Boston for their many tributes paid to the late Queen. She remembered her 1976 bicentennial visit with great fondness.”
