KISS THE BRIDE

Wedding vows end Spaniard’s ‘best ever week’ in which he also won ESPY best male golfer of the year award

SERGIO GARCIA ended his “best week ever” by marrying stunning Angela Akins in Texas.

The 2017 Masters champion took to Twitter to share his “dream come true” after sealing his wedding vows with a post-ceremony kiss.

Garcia’s wedding joy followed his ESPY award as best male golfer of the year.

The 37-year-old also shared his joy over that on social media.

He then received his trophy for winning the Masters to go along with his famed green jacket.

Garcia has made the rounds already this year with the green jacket in tow.

He was a special guest of European champions Real Madrid and sat in the Royal Box at Wimbledon.

He has promised Australians he will “definitely” be bringing the jacket with him to their PGA Championship in November.

The popular Spaniard and his new wife started their relationship in 2015 and announced their engagement in January this year.

Angela, 31, was born in Texas, and is the daughter of former Texas Longhorns quarterback Marty Akins and cousin of New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees.

She has worked as a golf reporter for Fox Sports Southwest and moved to Florida after landing a job on the Golf Channel.

Garcia is her second husband as she was previously married to former golfer Ross Hamann.

She’s a keen golfer herself, having played for the women’s team at the University of Texas. She plays off a handicap of three.

Garcia, 37, had been a somewhat fading figure heading into this season. Though he had enjoyed a number of big wins, and had been contending in majors since 1999, he had never won one.

The curse was broken at the Masters, where he finally won his first major title in April.
