After accepting a summer season of love, Shawn Mendes is introducing a more mournful season.
On Wednesday,Dec 1, the 23- year-old vocalist dropped his newest single, “It’ll Be Okay,” and let’s simply state we simply might not want hearing this one. The sluggish ballad comes simply 2 weeks after he and Camila Cabello, 24, revealed their split after more than 2 years together.
Shawn’s newest single– which fans are currently hypothesizing has to do with the couple’s current separation– consisted of the lyrics: “Are we gonna make it?/ Is this gonna hurt?” and “I start to imagine a world where we don’t collide/ It’s making me sick but we’ll heal and the sun will rise.”
He sings entering into the chorus, “We don’t have to stay/ I will love you either way / It’ll be OK.”
Ahead of the tune’s release, Shawn sent his fans into a tailspin when he shared a 12- 2nd bit of the tune to Instagram onNov 30. “I know this is gonna hurt so bad,” one fan composed. While another included, “HEARTBREAK ERA.”
