SpaceX will introduce test flights of the Starhopper to a height of approximately 5,000 meters.

Elon Musk’s business is anticipating an optimum elevation of 16,400 feet, according to files submitted with the United States Federal Communications Commission and found by The Verge.

“The vehicle will fly vertically from the ground to under 500 meters for its low-altitude tests and up to 5000m for its high-altitude tests,” the filing states.

Starhopper will be released out of the SpaceX South Texas launch website in Boca Chica, Texas, the files include.

Musk last month shared video footage of the Starhopper lifting off and striking its tether limitations.

The Starhopper isn’t suggested to reach area, however rather check the single Raptor engine-powered connected model of the Starship that ultimately intends to get people off the Earth to Mars.

Musk is preparing to introduce a Starship loaded with artists around the moon in 2023.

The hopper initially fired up on April 3, with the United States Federal Aviation Administration initially publishing an airspace closure of approximately 1,000 feet high around the Boca Chica center “to provide a safe environment for rocket launch and recovery.”
