Sue Grafton, the famed thriller writer, died in Santa Barbara, Calif. on Dec. 28. She was 77.
Grafton’s daughter, Jamie Clark, introduced the information on Grafton’s Fb web page on Friday. She wrote that Grafton handed away after a two-year battle with most cancers.
“She was surrounded by household, together with her devoted and adoring husband Steve. Though we knew this was coming, it was surprising and quick,” Clark wrote, concluding her submit by saying “the alphabet now ends at Y.”
Grafton was the writer of the so-called Kinsey Millhone Alphabet Sequence through which every e-book title begins with a letter from the alphabet. The final was “Y is for Yesterday.”
