The Supreme Court on Tuesday will hear oral arguments about the Biden administration’s most current effort to end a Trump- age migration policy that’s been promoted by several courts, however decried by human rights groups.
The “Remain in Mexico” policy, officially called the Migrant Protection Protocols or MPP, needed some asylum hunters reaching the U.S. southern border to be returned to Mexico while their migration procedures played out.
The program entered into impact in 2019 under then-President Donald Trump’s administration.
