Let’s be frank – who doesn’t want to shine? And if there is any 2017 beauty motto we should translate into real life it’s “throw shimmer, not shade.” Cult Australian brand Frank Body has just released a “Shimmer Scrub”- being dubbed a “unicorn” scrub that will do just that.
Perhaps it is a renaissance of 90s roll-on body glitter, or a chance to take last year’s runway trends next level with the insta-ready scrub made to “make your skin shimmer,” but the scrub had a 50,000 person waiting list before itsrelease last week, according to US site Fashionista.
Infused with roasted ground coffee beans is a combination of sale and sugar, grapeseed, vitamin e oils to leave skin moisturised. What makes this product shimmer is the inclusion of microscopic gold and silver particles that are packed with electrical properties to make your skin shine.
As far as application goes, it’s no different than your average coffee buffer- simply re-robe and strobe in three easy steps, scrub, rinse and shimmy out of the bathroom like life is your dance floor. The limited edition scrub is $19.95 on the Frank site.

For a while now, thanks to minimalist accessory trends, most of us have been wearing simple or fine jewellery, but statement earrings are having a comeback. The focus this time is on sculptural mismatched and hardware metal designs rather than the chandelier-like pieces that defined past seasons. During winter earrings are an easy way to add a technicolour edge to your styles.
The best part? Statement earrings don’t just work with formal outfits, they can elevate more low-key winter looks, such as a sweater and skirt combo or your favourite T-shirts and jeans. It’s all about experimenting.
