Four teens who invested the night lost at sea on inflatable paddleboards astonishingly made it through after being swept ashore a small island.
Two males and 2 females, aged from 18 to 19, were commemorating completing their last examinations at Rosebud Beach in Victoria’s Mornington Peninsula, Australia, the other day afternoon.
But they ended up being captured in strong tides while on their paddleboards and were swept away with the tide.
A search operation was released and the worst was feared after the group’s bags and possessions were discovered deserted on the beach at around 8pm.
But Terence Rowlands, from Victoria Police, stated the group were discovered on Swan Island– some 12 miles (20 km) far from their initial place– not long after 9am today.
‘They [the teens] were extremely cold and extremely relieved to be on dry land,’ he informed press reporters.
‘Luck has a lot to do with it.’
He stated they were discovered by possibility on a ‘routine walk’ by security personnel around the island, which is on the opposite side of Port Phillip Bay.
