Tesla is preparing to suspend production at its Shanghai factory for a minimum of one day, Bloomberg News reported on Sunday, as China’s monetary center stated it would enter into a lockdown in 2 phases to carry out Covid-19 screening.

Tesla’s production in the plant will be stopped on Monday, the report stated, mentioning individuals acquainted with the matter, including that the electrical carmaker hasn’t yet notified employees if it would extend the suspension beyond Monday.

Tesla did not right away react to Reuters’ ask for remark.

Shanghai’s community federal government stated on Sunday that all companies and factories will suspend production or work from another location throughout the lockdown.

Earlier this month, Tesla needed to stop production at the factory for 2 days as China tightened its Covid-19 constraints. The business then stated it was attempting its finest to keep production addressing the factory.
