Sir Valentino may get an entry within the Tingle Creek

George mentioned: “We weighed him and he was 4 kilos heavier, having had a few days off after his run.

“That exhibits how a lot it had taken out of him, He is a hardy horse.

“He’ll probably get an entry in the Tingle Creek. We’ll see what the ground looks like and see who shows up, otherwise there’s the race at Kempton (Desert Orchid Chase) he was second to Special Tiara last season.

“He’s gone up in the handicap to 162 (up 3lb). He deserves to be that.”

Templegate’s treble

NAP 1.50 Taunton – Beau De Brizais: ‘Decent form and the ground and trip are ideal’ (add to your betslip)

NEXT BEST 3.00 Musselburgh – Prince Khurram: ‘On a handy mark and Donald McCain has a fine record here’ (add to your betslip)

TREBLE 2.10 Towcester – Hurricane Rita: ‘Can get off to a flying start for Olly Murphy’ (add to your betslip)

George also had news on Double Shuffle who could run in the King George VI Chase at Kempton on Boxing Day.

“He’s rated in the 150s now. He had to step up in grade and put up a proper showing,” said George.

“He prefers three miles more than two-miles-five. It would have been sharp enough for him but he still put in a big performance.

“He needs good ground which is why we kept pulling him out and I’m sure there’s a good day ahead of him.

“He’s in the King George and I know it’s a shot in the dark but he does love that track – he ran a big race when second in the BetBright Chase, despite making a bad mistake (three out) – and if it came up good ground I wouldn’t rule him out if we ran him.

“If the ground went his way, it might not be to the advantage of some of the others. He is improving.”
