NBC Information and MSNBC host Chuck Todd earlier this week blamed “gullible” voters for President Trump’s victory over Hillary Clinton within the 2016 presidential election.
Todd, together with NBC colleagues Andrea Mitchell and Hallie Jackson, talking on the Recode Decode podcast, attributed Trump’s win to his marketing campaign’s “gaslighting,” or psychological manipulation, of voters and to the “unfair” media.
“I knew the gaslighting was on the market. I knew it was day-after-day,” Todd stated. “However I feel there was a part of me in my head assumed individuals had been discerning it out, knew the BS from the non-BS. So, I feel what my type of shock to the system was simply type of how gullible an enormous chunk of the nation was to this and gullible as a result of possibly they need to be gullible.”

Mitchell acknowledged that Clinton made “errors that had been self-inflicted,” however continued to put blame on the “unfairness of the media,” James Comey and the Russians, the Washington Occasions reported.
