Officers in Idaho have euthanized a snapping turtle on the heart of an investigation over whether or not a biology instructor gave it a sick pet to eat in entrance of scholars.

In an announcement launched Friday, the Idaho State Division of Agriculture stated snapping turtles are an invasive species in Idaho requiring a allow. Officers seized the turtle Thursday.
