Twitter will provide United States employees a paid day of rest for Election Day and provide workers around the globe time off to enact nationwide elections.

“Given the importance of voting, going forward all national election voting days that take place on a weekday will be a paid day off,” Twitter composed in a memo reported by CNBC on Tuesday. “Since the US presidential election falls on a work day (Nov. 3), we will plan to close all US offices on that day.”

Since Election Day in the United States falls on a Tuesday in November, it can be hard for some individuals to discover time beyond work to go to the tally box. Twitter formerly enabled workers as much as 2 hours paid time off for ballot.

The choice follows Twitter’s statement to make Juneteenth, a day that honors completion of slavery in the United States, a main business vacation.

Twitter verified that the memo was sent out to workers.
