And he has taken to Instagram to thank actor Arnold Scwarzenegger who named the 28-year-old alongside the likes of Donald Trump and LeBron James.

Alongside a picture of McGregor on the front page of TIME magazine, McGregor wrote: “Thank you @time magazine and @scwarzenegger for including me in this years “TIME 100 Most influential people” list.
McGregor’s swift rise to fame has happened in a rapid space of time.
McGregor is the only Ultimate Fighting Championship star to hold two belts simultaneously making history with in the sport of MMA.
And Scwarzenegger poured praise towards the only Irishman on the list by writing: “Conor McGregor is more than a fighter, more than an athlete, more than a champion—although, as the first person in the history of the Ultimate Fighting Championship to hold titles in two weight divisions at once, he is clearly all of those things.
“From the first time I met Conor, I knew he wasn’t the type of star you could box into one category.
“Conor has a fire in his belly that can’t be quenched with championship belts. There are no brakes that can stop his engine.”

The publication opted to put The Notorious down as a ‘pioneer’ as McGregor is the first Irishman to win a UFC belt.
Not only does McGregor now have over 12.2million followers on Instagram, a range of sports stars have imitated his renowned ‘billionaire strut’.
And the world continues to wait for news on whether his highly anticipated fight with Floyd Mayweather will go ahead.
