The United States Trade Representative might extend specific tariff exemptions on Chinese imports for as much as one year, the company stated Monday. A remark duration for supporting or opposing tariff exemptions will range from Nov. 1 to 30.  

In July 2018, the USTR enforced 25% tasks on $34 billion worth of Chinese products. It approved the very first set of exemptions for the similarity cellular phones and tvs in December of that year, which are set to end on Dec. 28, 2019. The USTR is now thinking about extending some exemptions for as much as 12 months. 

The United States-China trade war has actually been warming up in current months. A different tariff round entered into impact in September, when the Trump administration enforced 15% on $112 billion worth of Chinese products, varying from milk to specific China-made tech items like the Apple Watch.
