Former Spice Woman-turned-fashion designer Victoria Beckham is being blasted over her newest eye-wear marketing campaign, which incorporates a “sickly skinny” mannequin that some mothers say is selling consuming problems.
“This picture is why my already tiny daughter thinks she must eat much less,” one enraged mom wrote on Fb after seeing the picture of 29-year-old Lithuanian mannequin Giedre Dukauskaite.
Beckham fielded a hailstorm of complaints throughout social-media platforms when she posted two photographs of the mannequin sporting a pair of over-sized specs from her Victoria Beckham Eyewear Spring Summer season 2018 choice.
“Victoria I am keen on you, however with the exorbitant costs you cost for [your] clothes couldn’t you a minimum of purchase this mannequin a sandwich for god’s sake?” one person wrote.
One other fan fumed, “[I] didn’t even discover the glasses. The mannequin was the main focus. Sickly skinny! Beckham needs to be ashamed selling consuming problems. Her younger daughter is heavier than her fashions. Disgrace.”
This isn’t the primary time Beckham has been criticized for her use of ultra-thin fashions on the catwalk and in photograph shoots.
The designer defended her selections again in 2015, saying her casting brokers have been in contact with the fashions’ companies to make sure all the ladies have been wholesome.
Beckham, who’s married to soccer nice David Beckham, has battled rumors of affected by anorexia herself.
