A federal company is suing Walmart for discriminating towards pregnant workers.
The US Equal Employment Alternative Fee (EEOC) mentioned on Friday that it had filed a category motion lawsuit alleging that Walmart violated the regulation when it refused to accommodate pregnant workers’ requests for a lighter work load.
In accordance with the EEOC, Alyssa Gilliam and different pregnant workers at a Walmart warehouse in Menomonie, Wisconsin, weren’t allowed to participate in an organization program that allowed some employees to obtain lighter duties.
