In a video that went viral online recently, Lyra Jaz, a six-year-old from the Philippines, is seen performing on stage during her Festival of Talent performance under the kindergarten category in Pasig City, as posted by NextShark. However, what not many could tell was that she actually had stage fright, as she was performing her dance routine without any difficulty.
This was because her father, who was in the audience, had got up from his seat, made his way to the aisle and started dancing to the Hula in-sync with his daughter.
Rjay Tolentino, 35, knew his daughter was nervous on stage, so he danced the Polynesian routine together with her, moving his arms and swaying his hips in rhythmic movements to the music as his daughter watched him and followed along.
Because of her father’s encouragement, Lyra was able to perform incredibly well.
“I knew my girl had stage nerves, so I just tried to do everything I could to make her feel better,” the father of four said.
