RUNNERS from all over the world gather in England’s capital this weekend for the 37th London Marathon.
Elite and amateur athletes will raise millions for charity, as they pound the streets of London to complete the unforgiving 26 mile course.
The race attracts thousands of supporters from all over the country, spread across the iconic course.
Race organisers were inundated with over a quarter of a million applicants, with just over 50,000 successful.
SunSports brings you all you need to know ahead of this years race.
What TV channel is the London Marathon on?
You can watch the race on BBC One, coverage starts at 8:30am.
Viewers can also follow the runners via the Red Button with commentary from of the elite front runners, wheelchair contestants and amateur participants.
What time does the race start?
The Wheelchair race will start off first at 9am, with the Paralympic runners next as part of the IPC Athletics Marathon World Cup.
The elite Women’s race begins at 9:20am, with the top Men’s runners off at 10am.
Who are the favourites?
All eyes will be on Eluid Kipchoge going for his third London win in a row.
The Kenyan set a course record last year, by beating Wilson Kipchang by five seconds in a dramatic sprint finish.
In the women’s race, watch out for Ethiopian Tigist Tufa who triumphed in 2015 and David Weir hunting his seventh win in the Men’s Wheelchair race.
