Revealed: The Secrets our Clients Used to Earn $3 Billion

Discourse is often so centred on the endurance of a male’s work, marital relationship, performance history and bank balance, that we forget the survival of the accuser. (Picture: Terence Patrick/CBS through Getty Images)

Whenever I take a look at stories about a truly reliable person being linked of doing a truly bad thing, I wait on the unavoidable think-piece about whether his occupation will make it through. It doesn’t take long.

How often have we saw discussion over the earnings of the plentiful and popular as if the accusations made versus them are merely a rotten gotten in touch with the ladder of their occupation?

Discourse is often so centred on the endurance of a male’s work, marital relationship, performance history and bank balance, that we forget the survival of the accuser.

The #MeToo movement taught us a lot about the private cost to a woman who speaks out versus abuse and harassment. It has really long been true that victims have really feared losing their jobs, performance history and comfort in the treatment of speaking out about bad behaviour.

Why then is journalism fairly taken in with the status of the ongoing work of those who have been linked?

Since early January, rumours and accusations have really streamed the web associating with American star, Armie Hammer. A string of (yet unverified) direct messages obviously sent through Instagram – which Hammer has really called bullsh**t  have really streamed socials media in which Hammer most likely exposes a desire to participate in acts of rape, attack and cannibalism with a previous partner.

One ex-girlfriend of his then advance, stating that Hammer had really shaped his initial into the skin above her vaginal location with a knife, prior to licking away the blood. Another ex, stated she was being ‘groomed and extremely managed to do things that truthfully scared [her]’.

It’s all actually terrible – and potentially triggering – things, not to mention the truth that people were decreasing the ‘cannibalism’ dreams whilst glossing over accusations of abuse. Yet when I introduced examining this story I was saddened, nevertheless not surprised, to find a familiar design: the future of Hammer’s movie occupation wound up being a substantial discussion point.

I saw one outlet that ran a piece, defining, ‘it’s uncertain if his occupation can, or will, recover’, while an LA-based publication launched an interview with 3 PR managers, asking if Hammer may ‘bounce back’ and if so, how.

The really first post even described him as ‘the genetically blessed movie star’. If I had a pound for each time a male’s terrific looks were mentioned in a brief post about claims made versus them…

But the hazard of losing a job should not be the element to prevent inappropriate behaviour. The hazard of hurting another private should be sufficient of a deterrent

The message being interacted is that, regardless of remorse or innocence, the person’s occupation is the real casualty. A story that has a far wider result on society.

Highlighting the ‘devastating’ result on the linked’s life is a tool used versus victims for mental control: ‘If you come forward, he won’t have the capability to see his children/he’ll lose his job/you’ll damage his life’. The cycle of victim-blaming continues.

Victims advance doesn’t end occupations; violent people being condemned, does.

In a world where male identity is so connected to wealth and social status, there is an argument that brief posts highlighting the undesirable result on an occupation may function as a deterrent versus future abuse.

But the hazard of losing a job should not be the element to prevent inappropriate behaviour. The hazard of hurting another private should be sufficient of a deterrent.

Losing a job is an effect if someone is revealed to have really dedicated a crime, not a charge for it.

I can’t speak on behalf of all victims who have really ever advance with claims versus abusers, nevertheless I believe that their primary goal is not to rid them of their earnings, nevertheless to share their truth. What takes place after that is beyond their control.

When checked guilty and sentenced, no amount of jail time for an abuser can help a victim to recover from their attack or harassment. It is often thought that the conviction of an offender can offer closure to victims, nevertheless I don’t think it’s that standard.

While justice may have been served, the experience of the victim cannot be eliminated from their memory.

Sentencing is often framed as a possibility for victims and their home to get ‘closure’, nevertheless I believe closure to be a thing of fiction. One chapter may worry an end, nevertheless for a victim of a crime, the story goes on. They live day in, day out, with the consequences of someone else’s actions.

As long as people’s occupations seem prioritised over the experiences of possible victims, this cycle will continue.
