All the latest information ahead of the 2017 Invictus games in Toronto
THE Invictus Games are set to return for a third time.
Wounded servicemen from 17 nations will meet in Toronto for the event set up by Prince Harry in 2014.
Here is everything you need to know about the Invictus Games.
When are the Invictus Games and what TV channel are they on?
The Invictus Games will be held from September 23 to September 30, 2017.
TV information is yet to be confirmed but last year’s games were shown on BBC.
Who can compete in the Invictus Games?
The Invictus Games is a parasport event for wounded, injured or sick armed services personnel and their associated veterans.
Athletes from Afghanistan, Australia, Canada, Denmark, France, Estonia, Georgia, Germany, Iraq, Italy, Jordan, Netherlands, New Zealand, the UK and the United States will compete.
Romania and Ukraine are also entering for the first time.
What sports will be played?
Competitions in athletics, archery, sitting volleyball, wheelchair basketball, wheelchair tennis, indoor rowing, powerlifting, sledge hockey, wheelchair rugby, golf and cycling have already been arranged.
Additional events in ice sports are also being considered.
How can I get tickets?
Tickets will be available from the Invictus Games website in due course.
Will Prince Harry be attending?
Prince Harry set up the games and opened both the 2014 and 2016 events.
He is expected to do likewise in Toronto in September.
