THE ticket prices for the mega-fight between undefeated boxer Floyd Mayweather and UFC champion Conor McGregor have been announced after much speculation.
The spectacular bout is to take place on August 26 in Las Vegas at the T-Mobile Arena.
The fight will take place in the T-Mobile Arena after promoters were able to reach an agreement with Ice Cube to move the championship game of his Big3 basketball league which was scheduled for the same night.
Mayweather has a 49-0 undefeated record in boxing, whereas this is McGregor’s first professional boxing match.
How much are the tickets going to cost?
Fans are facing having to pay up to £7,750 to see 29-year old McGregor’s fight against Mayweather, 40.
The fight is expected to be the most lucrative event in the history of the sport, and the ticket prices reflect that.
The ‘cheap’ tickets start at £390, but it has already been revealed that these seats will be very limited.
Other seats will be selling for £1,200, £2,000, £2,800, £4,000 and £5,900 when the tickets go on sale.
Ringside seats will cost a huge £7750 each.
When do tickets go on sale?
Tickets go on sale for the much anticipated fight on July 24.
Some sites such as Viagogo and the T-Mobile arena site have already been selling off tickets, but UFC president Dana White warned that these tickets aren’t genuine.
Can you watch the fight on TV?
The fight will be shown on pay-per-view, but it is not clear on what channel in the UK yet.
In the US it will be shown on Showtime for an eye watering $99.95, but it has not been announced whether Sky or BT will show the fight in the UK.
BT have a long running relationship with UFC as their UK distributors, but Sky Sports are the main distributors of US boxing in Britain on behalf of Showtime.
The UK pay-per-view is expected to be record breaking, exceeding the £24.95 fans had to pay to watch Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao in 2015.
