The light-hearted sports quiz show will return to air tonight for it’s 47th series with Sue Barker back in the presenters chair
THE long-running sports quiz is back on our screen’s tonight on BBC one with Sue Barker back in charge.
Tonight will begin the 47th series of the program – here is everything you need to know about when to tune in.
When is A Question of Sport on tonight?
The new episode of A Question of Sport will air tonight at 10:45pm on BBC one.
It will run for 30 minutes.
Who is presenting the show?
Sue Barker will be return to the presenting chair on A Question of Sport.
She has been the presenter for the show for the past 20 years after she took over from David Coleman in 1997.
Who are tonight’s guests on A Question of Sport?
Phil Tufnell and Matt Dawson return to the panel show as team captains.
They will be joined by world champion boxer Tony Bellew, Ryder Cup golfer Andy Sullivan, European champion cyclist Jess Varnish and rugby league star Ashton Sims in tonight’s edition.
Bellew pocketed £2.8million when he stopped David Haye in the 11th round of the heavyweight fight in March.
The Liverpudlian and die-hard Everton fan has 29 wins to his name including 19 by knockout.
Sullivan is a professional golfer on the European Tour and currently ranks 77th in the world.
His results on the 2015 and 2016 European Tours earned him a spot on the Europe’s Ryder Cup team in 2016.
Earlier this year the ex-Asda shelf stacker was in Augusta for the Master where he finished tied in 48th position.
Varnish is a cyclist who has represented Great Britain at the Olympics and World and European championships as well as England at the Commonwealth Games.
At the 2012 Olympics she joined Victoria Pendleton to break the World Record in the qualifying stages of the team sprint, but the pair were knocked out in the next round.
The Australian born Fiji international rugby player Ashton Sims currently plays for the Warrington Wolves in the Super League.
The prop forward is nearing the end of the season with the Wolves who currently sit in 9th place in the league ahead of their next game against Halifax on Saturday.

Question of Sport has been running for almost half a century.
