All the information ahead of the huge game at the Aviva stadium for a place in the final next month at Murrayfield
MUNSTER take Saracens for a place in the European Champions Rugby semi-final.
The prize at stake, at what will be an emotionally charged Aviva stadium, is a place in the final at Murrayfield against either Clermont or Leinster.
Munster are looking to win their first European cup since 2008 in memory of late coach Anthony Foley.
Foley tragically passed away in October at the age of 42, just hours before what was supposed to be Munster’s opening match against Racing Metro in France.
But in their way stands the toughest of opponents in reining European champions Saracens.
The double-winners are currently two years unbeaten in continental rugby.
Here’s all the information you need as two of Europe’s best go head-to-head in Dublin.
When is Munster vs Saracens?
The semi-final takes place on Saturday 22nd April at the Aviva Stadium.
Kick-off is at 3.15pm.
What TV channel is the game on?
You can watch Munster vs Saracens live on BT Sport3 and BT Sport 4K UHD.
Coverage starts at 2:30pm.
A repeat of the action will be shown later in the evening at 10:15pm.
Have Munster and Saracens met before?
This will be the eighth meeting between the clubs, with Munster winning five of the previous seven clashes and the current European champions winning two.
Significantly, the Saracens wins have come in their last three meetings, which could prove vital ahead of the mouth-watering encounter.
These sides have met once before in the semi-final, with Munster squeezing through in 2008 after an 18-16 win at the Ricoh Arena, before going on to lift trophy in Cardiff.
