THE 2017 British Speedway Grand Prix gets underway this Sunday, with Scunthorpe born Tai Woffinden looking to win in front of the home crowd.
The Grand Prix takes place in the Principality Stadium in Cardiff, home of Welsh rugby and June’s Champions League final, and is the 6th event of the 12 tournament season.
What TV channel is the British Grand Prix on?
The British Speedway Grand Prix takes place this Saturday.
The race will be shown live on BT Sport 3 from 4.15pm.
It will also be broadcast on BT Sport 4K UHD.
What Brit should I watch out for?
Tai Woffinden, 26, is Britain’s first two time world champion since Peter Craven in 1955 and 1962, but has never won the British Speedway Grand Prix in his six years of competing.
He came a close second last year on the 272 metre track, but finished 3 points behind Swede Antonio Lindback.
He hasn’t had a win this season and currently sits 5th in the table, 17 points off leader Jason Doyle. Tai can be backed at odds of 10/1 to be World Champion for a third time this year on Sun Bets.
Tai is the son of former Speedway rider Rob Woffinden, and despite riding for Britain, calls Perth, Australia his home as that’s where he grew up.
Woffinden can be backed at odds of 10/1 to be outright winner of the World Championship on Sun Bets.
