Who is running in the Queen’s Vase?

What are the top tips for the race?

Templegate – Norway

After chasing home stablemate Sir Dragonet in the Chester Vase he was sent to the Derby where he was ridden too prominently for his own good before fading into eighth.

It wouldn’t have mattered how he was placed early on as he hasn’t got the class for Group 1s but I’ve no doubt the step up in trip and drop in class will help.

Matt Chapman – Norway

The one I will bet to hit the frame here is NORWAY, who looks a big price for Aidan O’Brien. He was a fine second to Sir Dragonet in the Chester Vase, but was subsequently found out in the Derby when only eighth. I think he will get this trip well and has every chance.

Wizard of Odds – Jalmoud

JALMOUD looks to be crying out for the Queen’s Vase after landing a Listed win over 1m4f in France last time.

He improved as the race went on and got up in the dying strides after coming with a late rattle. That was just his third run and he gives the impression that marathon trips will bring out the best in him.

Trends – Western Australia

Aidan O’Brien has a strong record in this race with five wins in the past 10 runnings and three of the past four. That points the way to his WESTERN AUSTRALIA who won well at Navan last time.
