The 23-year-old Italian trainee was kept in medical facility for 24 hours after the nurse at the Noa medical facility in Tuscany instantly understood her error and informed physicians, the AGI news firm reported.

Instead of administering simply one dosage as typical, the nurse injected the entire vial – the equivalent of 6 dosages.

The trainee got fluids and paracetamol as a preventative measure and was released from the medical facility the next day in a steady condition.

A medical facility representative stated physicians will monitor her immune action and take routine blood tests to see if a 2nd shot of the vaccine will be needed.

Dozens of detainees in Iowa, United States, got 6 times the suggested vaccine dosage in April.

None of them were hospitalised, although lots of knowledgeable negative effects such as body pains and fevers, the New York Times reported.

According to vaccine professional, Associate Professor Nigel Crawford, overdosing occurrences like these will not likely cause unfavorable responses.

‘I typically state “you can’t have too much of a good thing” when it concerns vaccines,’ he composed in The Conversation.

He stated that even 5 or 6 dosages is ‘still a relatively small amount and not likely to be harmful’.
