    A granddad-of-five who declared to be the earliest guy worldwide has actually passed away 4 months after his 116th birthday.

    South African Fredie Blom was the only survivor of his household after they were all eliminated by the 1918 Spanish Flu pandemic.

    He stated the hardest part about South Africa’s lockdown was not having the ability to purchase tobacco to roll his own cigarettes – his one want his wedding day.

    Family representative Andre Naidoo stated: ‘Two weeks ago oupa (grandfather) was still chopping wood. He was a strong man, full of pride.’

    But his household state they saw him diminish ‘from a big man to a small person’ in the area of 3 days.

    He had actually stopped going to the physicians more than 2 years earlier, declaring he had enough of being punctured and prodded.

    Born in the rural town of Adelaide, tucked near the Great Winterberg range of mountains of South Africa’s Eastern Cape province, Mr Blom passed away at Tygerberg Hospital in Cape Town.
