Zsa Zsa, an English bulldog who gained the title of “World’s Ugliest Canine” final month, has died.
The 9-year-old pooch handed away in her sleep Monday evening, her proprietor, Megan Brainard, advised the Star Tribune.
Zsa Zsa gained the 30th annual contest within the San Francisco Bay Space on June 23. She was identified for her underbite and muscular, rounded entrance legs. Her proprietor was awarded $1,500 for Zsa Zsa’s win.

Zsa Zsa was up for the title of Ugliest Canine towards some fierce competitors: a blackhead-covered Chinese language Crested-Dachshund mutt, a bulldog combine with extra wrinkly pores and skin and a Pekingese named Wild Thang.
Organizers of the annual contest say the occasion is “a enjoyable and foolish option to advocate that every one animals deserve a protected and loving dwelling.”
Brainard, of Anoka, Minnesota, adopted Zsa Zsa after recognizing her on Petfinder. The canine had beforehand been rescued from a pet mill in Missouri when she was 5 years outdated, in keeping with the newspaper.
The canine mother mentioned she named Zsa Zsa after the Hungarian actress Zsa Zsa Gabor, because the pup loved lounging on the sofa “like a wonderful mannequin.”
