The wrestling company had planned to bring the rising star show to the stadium on June 6, but instead will offer a full refund and tickets to a similar show in Leeds
THE WWE have cancelled their NXT event at the Manchester Arena following the horrific attack which left 22 people dead.
The wrestling company had planned to bring the rising star show to the stadium on June 6.
But they have decided to axe the event in the wake of the shocking attack on Monday at an Ariana Grande gig that saw more than 120 injured.
The US pop sensation has cancelled the rest of her tour following the attack, which occurred towards the end of her performance in the arena.
WWE NXT are offering free refunds and tickets for their Leeds show the following day.
The wrestling firm is also organising for some of their stars to go and visit those affected by the attack, as well as making a donation to the We Love Manchester Emergency Fund.
A WWE statement said: “Out of respect for all those affected by the Manchester tragedy, WWE is cancelling the NXT event on Tuesday, June 6 at the Manchester Arena, and giving fans who purchased tickets to the show a full refund.
“We are offering them the option to receive a free ticket at point of purchase to the NXT show on Wednesday, June 7 at First Direct Arena in Leeds.
